Abstract

The article gives an overview of modern diagnostic methods compression-ischemic neuropathy of the median nerve at the carpal tunnel. The etiology, clinical presentation and classification of the disease. We present the clinical and instrumental features of the manifestation of carpal tunnel syndrome. Given the possibilities and limitations of both basic research methods (EMG and ENMG) and highly informative modern techniques (MRI), as well as high-resolution ultrasound in the diagnosis of compression of the median nerve.
